DOWNLOAD / plATEAU
Download is an electronic music group formed by Dwayne Goettel and cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy in 1994. The initial lineup also included Off & Gone's Phil Western and Mark Spybey of Dead Voices on Air, but has since been particularly fluid, with Key and Western be...ing the only constant members following Goettel's death.
OTTO VON SCHIRACH + BANANA SLOTH
Otto von Schirach is an IDM and breakcore artist from Miami, Florida. He has released most of his work on the Schematic , ipecac and SUBCON labels, and was featured in the 2002 documentary Electro-Dziska. Otto's live performances include outfits, masks, props and madness. He has toured with Skinny Puppy and Venetian Snares and is also credited on the Skinny Puppy albums The Greater Wrong Of The Right and Mythmaker.
DEAD VOICES ON AIR
Dead Voices on Air is Mark Spybey . Mark is a former member of the influential British band Zoviet France and the much-talked about industrial act Download (along with cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy). He had also collaborated with many seminal artists and bands such as Jarboe, Can, Not Breathing, James Plotkin, Pigface and The Legendary Pink Dots, He also collaborated with Mick Harris and Ambre on the Threesome series.
BASECK
Baseck started DJing when he saved up lunch money and sold Nintendo games to buy his first mixer and thrift store turntable at age 13 in 1994. He was soon introduced to scratching and turntable trickery and has been hooked ever since. Baseck has a style made up of breakcore, broken beats, droning atmospheres, and slaughtering noise to create a beautifully fucked collage of sound.
